About Us

Individual, marital, family, group and medication therapy are provided within our office. Treatment with medication is available with Drs. Richard and Susan Nilson. We work with a range of patients including adolescents, young adults, adults and the elderly.

We are not network providers for any private mental health plans but numerous plans cover our services as “out of network.” Nevertheless, we are happy to complete insurance forms for you to submit to your insurance.

A number of plans list us as "in network" providers. This is not accurate. We have tried to correct these errors.

Prior to beginning treatment, we encourage you to research your insurance coverage so you may have the maximum information regarding your treatment options. This information is important because many insurers "carve out" the mental health benefit. As a result, the mental health benefit is often different than that of the remainder of the health plan benefit.

Our reasons for not participating in insurance plans include a desire for greater privacy for our patients and greater autonomy for ourselves.
